HELLO EVERYONE,

Welcome to Our Blog. This blog has been created, to help with the costs at the WILDLIFE CENTER OF VIRGINIA, and to try to have a little fun while we're at it. The objective is to put DONATED ITEMS up for auction, with all the proceeds going to WCV, for the help and care of our wildlife. The idea for this auction, came from the Gala/Auction that most of us will not be able to attend. However, we can still feel like we are a part of it by bidding on items that will be put up for sale on here.

Let me explain......

Items will be listed with a photo of the item, along with a brief description. Anyone can bid on the item by posting a comment and the amount of their bid. The bids will be posted each day, but we will NOT post the bidders name until we have a winner. A RESERVE will be put on each item up for bid, according to what value, the person donating the item, believes it is worth.

In order that the donor doesn't have to absorb all of the shipping costs, a $3 shipping charge will be added to the cost and paid to the donor. At the end of the week's bid, the winner will be posted and that person will send an email to the address listed below, in order for them to receive their purchase. THE ITEM WILL NOT BE SHIPPED UNTIL THE PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. It is hoped that everyone will understand why we feel it necessary to verify the payment. Plus we want to make sure that you know, that your contribution will go to The Center, THEREFOR A CHECK SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO THE WILDLIFE CENTER OF VIRGINIA, BUT SENT TO THE DONOR, WHO WILL FORWARD IT TO WCV. If you would like to add an item up for bid, keep in mind that you will be the one shipping the item, so large or heavy items might not be covered by the $3 shipping fee, that you will receive. If this auction is successful, it will be determined at a later date, how often it will be run. So let's see if we can have a little fun here, while winning an item of choice and helping the Wildlife Center of Virginia at the same time. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS!!
